update for the now:
life without the internet has been just fine. my cell phone gets a lot of use.
i had a marvelous birthday and am now 22 and have been for two weeks.
my house has furniture in it now, and after this weekend it will even have another housemate! this means my rent goes down by $100 and we'll probably get cable internet and maybe even a real phone line too! the house has been marvelous for having people over and feeding them and playing music and watching movies.
this weekend i'm going on a nicely anticipated road trip with the nick and the springstead and the michael roderick. we're going to nashville to hear don frasure with the nashville symphony perform britten's war requiem.
